PE-COATED & LAMINATED PAPER — RANGE AND USES
PE-coated (or laminated) paper receives a polyethylene film that gives it a barrier against moisture and grease, as well as heat-sealability. Prodiconseil, a French paper merchant since 1991, offers it for food packaging and flexible converting.
It is used for food bags, cup stock, barrier packaging and flexible laminates. The PE can be on one or two sides depending on the protection required. Available in reels for converting — with volumes available immediately, without waiting for a mill production run.

What does the PE coating add to the paper?
The polyethylene film makes the paper resistant to moisture and grease, and makes it heat-sealable (it can be sealed with heat). That is what allows it to be turned into bags and food packaging.
PE on one side or two sides?
One side is enough for a barrier on the product side and a printable face on the outside. Two sides give full protection. You choose according to the contents and the sealing method.
Is it suitable for food contact?
