COATED BOARD — RANGE AND USES
Coated board is the substrate of the folding box and premium packaging. Its coated face takes crisp printing; its back — white, cream, grey or kraft — and its grammage are chosen to match the application. Prodiconseil, a French paper merchant since 1991, keeps the main folding boxboard families in permanent stock.
GC1 and GC2 (white or cream back, virgin fibre) for high-end packaging, GD2 (grey back, recycled fibre) for the economical box, GT4 and CKB (kraft back) for a natural look and food applications. We also supply aluminium-faced board for food packaging. In reels and sheets, available immediately — without waiting for a mill production run.

What do GC, GD and GT mean for board?
They are the standard families of coated board. GC = virgin-fibre board (white back GC1 or cream back GC2), for premium packaging. GD = recycled-fibre board (grey back), more economical. GT = kraft back, natural look. The number specifies the finish and the back.
Which board should I use for food packaging?
It depends on the contact: kraft-back boards (GT/CKB) and aluminium-faced boards suit many food packaging applications. We guide you to the right reference for your application and your contact requirements.
Which board grammages do you offer?
A wide range of board grammages, from the light end for cases up to heavy board for rigid boxes. Tell us your application and your sheet size and we check the stock.
Do you sell board in reels or in sheets?
Both: reels for converting and cutting, sheets on pallets for printing and box making.
Do you export coated board to Africa and internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide from France, mainly by container, with a strong focus on North, West, Central and East Africa and the Middle East. We provide the invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, and quote EXW, FOB or CIF depending on your logistics.
